Completed 9th-12th grade will be going on a mission trip to Celina, TX! We are thrilled to be partnering with Legacy Hills Church: a church plant in Celina that launched in August 2022 in Celina’s Moore Middle School. Celina has tripled in population over the past five years and is currently the fastest growing city in Texas. Legacy Hills wants to be a church that sacrificially serves the growing needs of the people of Celina, and one way they reach their surrounding community is by throwing an annual neighborhood Vacation Bible School (VBS) in their local park. This is where our high schoolers come in!
High School has the unique opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus this summer by leading Legacy Hills’ VBS. Similar to Flint Baptist’s annual Day Camp, Students will be small-group leaders for children that attend the VBS, leading activities, bible studies, crafts, worship, and any/all jobs presented to us from Legacy Hills that week. With a large attendance last year, many of which are children of international families who have moved to Celina for career opportunities, Legacy Hills is thrilled that Flint students will be helping with this event! At the end of each day, our students will engage in nightly worship and group-time to conclude each night – with the fun of excursions in the Dallas area!
When: July 7th-12th
Cost: $350 | $50 deposit required upon registration. Final payment must be made by June 23rd.(Fundraiser opportunity: Bring baked goods to sell at the Mother’s Day Bake Sale on May 12th – all proceeds will be split amongst those that participate and put towards remaining camp balance!)
